Often our joy is dependent on our circumstances, but should that be the case as believers? Because of Jesus, his life and work, we can and must be joyful as we engage our world and live our lives for him. Joy is an essential virtue which rests wholly in Jesus, through his love for us and our love for him and others. Joy comes as we love one another. Often, we seek joy in the opportunities and possessions of this life and our world, but joy is truly found in knowing Jesus and allowing him to be at work in and control our lives.  Are you joyful today, are you happy?  By God's grace, you can be!
