Church Membership Matters!
Church Membership is vital for every believer! The church body presents many vital aspects for genuine believers to continue their growth. Through the church you should experience genuine love and acceptance. You should also experience fellowship that challenges you to take steps toward greater Christlikeness. You should experience teaching that challenges you to understand who Jesus is and all He has accomplished for you. You should understand how to apply those truths to your daily life. You should feel a sense of purpose in your church that encourages you to ask others to join with you on your journey of knowing Jesus more.
One of the most difficult parts of joining any church is to fully understand what/who it is you are joining. On this page about membership, you will find the core values of Graceway Church. We want you to understand what we emphasize and what our goals are as a body of believers.
We are committed to worship, to passionately exalting our God and our Savior Jesus Christ. We are committed to Biblical instruction that causes us as a body of believers to grow in our personal relationship with Jesus. We are committed to genuine fellowship. We long to impact our community with the wonderful name of Jesus.
Below you’ll find four sessions and four handouts that give you some perspective on who we are as a church. Those desiring to become a part of our body of believers can complete these sessions, read I Am a Church Member, meet with our leadership team and affirm our doctrinal statement. In 2016, when we began meeting together we worked through several essentials of the church. These additional sessions can be heard on our Biblical Foundations sermon page. These sermons were a significant part of the core foundation for our church. This information served as a statement of our philosophy, our most basic beliefs about the church and our focus as a church laboring to be faithful to the mission of our Great Savior, Jesus!
As members, we agree together and before God to collectively demonstrate the characteristics and traits of believers with one another as prescribed throughout the teaching of the New Testament. You can read our church covenant here.
