Divine Reversal!

January 31, 2021 Speaker: pastor dave Series: Esther - For Such a Time as this

Topic: Providence of God, Power of God, Esther, 1-PM Sermons Passage: Esther 8:1– 10:3

As the writer brings the story of Esther to a conclusion, we see again the divine reversal possible only through the power of God at work in the affairs of humanity.  God turns the horrible law created by Haman into a great victory for his people.  It seems to be a wonderful happy ending and we can take from an account like Esther that all of our circumstances in life should turn out the same, but that is not the point.  The reality for us, as believers, we will absolutely enjoy the greatest of all divine reversals through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for our sins.  We can and will enjoy eternity with God because of what Jesus did.  This is our hope, not that everything works out or goes right in this life.  We rest in the fact that Jesus will make all things right when they are completely remade by him one day.  He will right all wrongs and anything we struggle with or suffer through here will pail in comparison with the glories that await us there!

For such a time as this!  Esther and Mordecai were placed in their positions for such a time as this.  God has placed you in your situation for such a time as this! It is imperative for us to understand that God is sovereign over the affairs of mankind and is working providentially in those affairs to accomplish His purpose in the world and in our lives!
