Final Exhortations

October 25, 2020 Speaker: pastor dave Series: The Supremacy of Christ!

Topic: Praying, Prayer that Exalts God, Thanks, Colossians, 1-AM Sermons Passage: Colossians 4:2–6

Paul continues his exhortations to the chruch at Colossae with two final commands: be committed to prayer and be gracious and wise in your interactions with unbelievers outside the church.  Our responses and interactions are critical and must be conducted in a wise, gracious and impactful way.

Paul writes to the church of Colossae to bolster their understanding and confidence in the supreme position, glory and sufficiency of Jesus for their daily lives and interactions as a church.  Paul addresses the Colossians heresy that is plaguing this body of believers, but does so primarily through his instruction about Jesus and the impact that Jesus should have in the lives of true believers.  The preeminence of Christ is on display throughout this letter to the Colossians believers.
