Paul now begins to conclude his first letter to the Thessalonians with a series of commands intended to help them live out the truths of their position in Christ.  He instructs the membership about their response to leaders, leader and the membership about their response to the struggling within the church, and the response of each member in their own personal walk with the Lord and their discernment.  As believers, we must remember that our relationship with Jesus should cause us to live our lives every day to reflect the transforming power of the gospel in our lives! 

Throughout the letters to the Thessalonians, Paul writes to encourage these believers through his pastoral words of comfort, instruction and exhortation.  He writes of his relationship and love for the church; he encourages them to grow in their faith, to increase in their love for God and one another and to hope in the God who controls not just their future but their present circumstances.
