As Paul concludes his letter to the Thessalonians, he encourages those who are obeying and striving to live for Jesus not to be discouraged in doing good!  He also gives specific instructions for responding to those who do not obey and are idle, disorderly in the church.  As always, he concludes with our great need for the grace of God!  We need his strength to be all that he has called us to be!

Throughout the letters to the Thessalonians, Paul writes to encourage these believers through his pastoral words of comfort, instruction and exhortation.  He writes of his relationship and love for the church; he encourages them to grow in their faith, to increase in their love for God and one another and to hope in the God who controls not just their future but their present circumstances.
