One of the great needs for every believer is to show love to others and to be demonstrating our love for God by loving others.  Paul commends the church at Thessalonica for loving one another and for loving the other churches in the region of Macedonia, but he charges them to love more.  He goes on to explain exactly what loving one another more looks like tangibly!  Genuinely loving one another is demonstrated by our daily actions and responses to them!  May God give us grace to love one another like this, especially at this time in history.  

Throughout the letters to the Thessalonians, Paul writes to encourage these believers through his pastoral words of comfort, instruction and exhortation.  He writes of his relationship and love for the church; he encourages them to grow in their faith, to increase in their love for God and one another and to hope in the God who controls not just their future but their present circumstances.
