In the rest of Hebrews 11, the preacher continues to offer examples of the faithful and actions of faithfulness. Just as they did, we will, by active faith demonstrate real confidence in unseen truths. Often the greatest struggle for us as followers of Jesus is not seeing what we expect or hope to see, yet faith continues to trust. The example of each of these elders, that have gone before us, is their faith even when they didn't receive or see the end of promise.  The promises of God did not come to fruition in their lifetimes, yet they trust, continue to faithfully follow and believe God!  We too, must endure with a steadfast in the promises of God. God can and will give us grace to do it!

Though the author of Hebrews is unknown, the writer offers instruction about Jesus; his person, his work and truth that he is better than angels, Moses, priests and any feature of the old covenant. Jesus is Supreme and Sufficient for believers! Our salvation is secured through his sacrificial work for us. As followers, we can rest in the provision of Jesus for us and we must persevere and encourage others to remain faithful to him.
