The climax of Joseph's story comes twenty years after being sold into slavery. Joseph sees his brothers and recognizes them, but they did not recognize him. After several engagements with them, the final test demonstrates a dramatic change in the brothers, especially Judah.  Joseph is overcome with emotion and his brothers are speechless. After the death of Jacob, the brothers again assume Joseph is going to try and get some kind of revenge, but again Joseph confirms his placement in Egypt was the divine plan of God to save them - his people from certain death through the famine. 

The spirit of Joseph toward his brothers is an example for all who have experienced adversity.  Joseph is faithful in the face of shocking adversity.  May God give you grace to be faithful, even when life doesn't seem to be going your way.
