No matter who you are, where you live, or what family your from; you have very likely faced hardships.  Often when facing difficulty we can be overwhelmed or struggle with feelings of hopelessness.  Here in Psalm 89, the people offer praise to God amid bleak circumstances.  The Psalm seems to indicate some very hard circumstances, walls are broken down and the stronghold of the city is in ruins (v. 40).  

In the face of those circumstances, the people rejoice in hope together at the reality of God's faithfulness and loyal love to them.  God will keep his promises to them and God will keep his promises to us!  The reality is that even when life seems most bleak, our God is faithful and he cannot and will not abandon his own.

The Psalms offer an incredible look at our great God: his faithfulness, his covenant love, his wisdom and power!  They also present to us the responses of humanity to God: thanksgiving, praise, worship, trust, obedience and even sorrow due to our circumstances.  The Psalms offer us a rich source of comfort, hope, and faith our all-powerful God who is Creator of all, above all and sustaining all!  May these messages bring you hope, comfort and confidence in the only source of real assurance - Yahweh, God over All!
