At the beginning of a New Year, it is important for us to intentionally plan our approach to engaging with the Word of God in the New Year.  Psalm 119 is a masterfully written affirmation of the value and importance of the Word of God.  In vss. 49-56, we see the author remember the faithfulness of God in the past and the hope and comfort that it brings. The promises of God can be trusted because God is faithful and the Psalmist is reminded of this reality and comforted. The Scriptures offer promises from God that can be trusted. God always keeps his word and his promises to his people. As we begin a New Year, we can find our hope and comfort in the Word in 2022! May you know the hope and comfort of the Word of God in this New Year!

The Psalms offer an incredible look at our great God: his faithfulness, his covenant love, his wisdom and power!  They also present to us the responses of humanity to God: thanksgiving, praise, worship, trust, obedience and even sorrow due to our circumstances.  The Psalms offer us a rich source of comfort, hope, and faith our all-powerful God who is Creator of all, above all and sustaining all!  May these messages bring you hope, comfort and confidence in the only source of real assurance - Yahweh, God over All!
