The religious leaders in their hypocrisy bring Jesus to Pilate, but refuse to enter his house, so they will not be defiled!  Yet, they have not been defiled by conducting an illegal trial, allowing false witnesses and breaking the law of Moses as to the proper procedures for capitol trials!  Jesus engages in conversation with Pilate.  Pilate sees that Jesus is innocent and in no way worthy of death, yet he cannot deter this angry mob!

Jesus, the King, came to bear witness to the truth; all who side with truth hear & respond to Him!  What will you do with the truth?

Throughout the Gospel of John we see the truth that Jesus is the promised one, the anointed one from God through his signs, witnesses, and statements; and he has come to rescue humanity from sin!
