Inspite of the opposition that the followers of Jesus will face from this world, Jesus encourages his disciples with the reality that the Spirit will convict the world through them and will minister to them.  The ministry of the Spirit is the means of convicting those in the world and transforming believers! 

Throughout the Gospel of John we see the truth that Jesus is the promised one, the anointed one from God through his signs, witnesses, and statements; and he has come to rescue humanity from sin!
