As Paul writes, he describes himself and those who are ministering with him as common, everyday clay pots that had a specific purpose but could often be broken and easily, very cheaply replaced!  Paul again argues that the ministry is not about them, it is all about Jesus and his work in the lives of these believers at Corinth.  Paul longs for these believers and you and I to understand that genuine ministry is always about Jesus, his glory and exaltation above all else!  

Throughout 2 Corinthians Paul addresses the impact of suffering on ministry, life and the message; the complexity of human relationships at times - the suffering they can cause and the joy of being reconciled when we obey and follow the guidance of the Spirit in our lives.
