Paul continues to explain the reasons that he had to change his plans to come and visit the church at Corinth.  One who opposed Paul in his visit to the church has been treated very harshly by the church and so Paul calls the church to forgive this one, inspite of the contention that they have caused.  Despite the hurt they have called, Paul calls for comfort and forgiveness.
