Paul is writing a very personal letter to the church at Corinth in 2 Corinthians.  Paul is going to speak to the motivations he has for ministry to the church.  He is going to address the thoughts that drive him to serve the church and suffer often on behalf of the church.  

The primary focus of the book is the impact of suffering on ministry, life and the message; the complexity of human relationships at times - the suffering they can cause and the joy of being reconciled when we obey and follow the guidance of the Spirit in our lives.
