Jesus heals a man born blind.  The man is called in by the Pharisees to give account for this healing, was he even really blind from birth?  They call his own parents in and they acknowledge his blindness, but do not want to answer how he was healed.  The entire story addresses the danger of spiritual blindness and the necessity of having your spiritual eyes opened so you can truly see!  Jesus can open blind eyes and give spiritual knowledge, but He will judge all who remain in spiritual darkness!

Throughout the Gospel of John we see the truth that Jesus is the promised one, the anointed one from God through his signs, witnesses, and statements; and he has come to rescue humanity from sin!
