In this second teaching cycle, at the Feast of Booths, Jesus engages the Pharisees regarding His origin.  There is back and forth between Jesus, the Pharisees and the Jews.  Some even believe, or seem to believe, but do not actually want to follow Jesus with their lives.  They can see or understand some of what He says, but it is too much to give everything.  Those that "believed" turn on Jesus and their belief moves to scepticism, then open opposition and finally violence.  What is your response to Jesus?  Do you believe?

Throughout the Gospel of John we see the truth that Jesus is the promised one, the anointed one from God through his signs, witnesses, and statements; and he has come to rescue humanity from sin!
