Jeremiah prophecies a day when the promise of God will be fulfilled to the house of Judah and they will enjoy the justice and righteousness of the promised ruler from the line of David.  Several passages throughout the New Testament point back to Jesus as the fulfillment of this promise; yet, there certainly seems to be more that must be accomplished for this promise to be fully realized.  Jesus second coming will be the complete fulfillment of His just and righteous rule.
