Psalm 110 is a psalm of David, written likely in response to the coronation of Solomon. It's a psalm in which David is celebrating the kindness of God in keeping his covenant with David, communicated to him in 2 Samuel 7:12-16. It is also a psalm that is quoted in the New Testament, as a fulfillment of God's promise to David, in the person of Jesus - the promised Messiah. The psalm, for David, was a rehearsing of the assurance he had in our unchanging God, who is faithful, who demonstrates his covenant love, his loyal love to us. He can give us grace to endure, even in times of change, in times of hardship or trials.

The Psalms offer an incredible look at our great God: his faithfulness, his covenant love, his wisdom and power.  They also present to us the responses of humanity to God: thanksgiving, praise, worship, trust, obedience and even sorrow due to our circumstances.  The Psalms offer us a rich source of comfort, hope, and faith our all-powerful God who is Creator of all, above all and sustaining all!  May these messages bring you hope, comfort and confidence in the only source of real assurance - Yahweh, God over All.
