The Synoptic Gospels each include the account of children coming with their parents to Jesus.  The disciples try to turn them away, but Jesus encourages them to come to him. This account is a wonderful passage that, in part, points to importance and necessity of training our children to know and follow Jesus. This will not happen by accident, we must intentionally train our children to know and follow Jesus. By God's grace we can make an impact on the next generation for Christ.
