Paul here writes to Titus to encourage him as he leads the church on the Island of Crete.  He explains to Titus the way he can lead and shepherd the different individuals in the church: older men, older women, younger women and younger men.  Specifically, in our passage we look at the role of women in the church and their potential for influence in the life of the church!  The example and influence of women in the church is vital and necessary to keep the Word of God from being discredited!
