As the preacher of Hebrews brings his message to a grand climax, he offers the reality that there are two options - two choices to made in response to the message of God and the truth of Christ. You will either draw near through Christ or you will reject him and face the terrifying judgment of God - there is no third option. The preacher desperately wants his hearers then and us now to understand that your response to the truth of Christ will shape your life and determine your eternal destiny! How are you responding to Christ?  Are you following? Have you yielded yourself to the truths of God? By God's grace we can!

Though the author of Hebrews is unknown, the writer offers instruction about Jesus; his person, his work and truth that he is better than angels, Moses, priests and any feature of the old covenant. Jesus is Supreme and Sufficient for believers! Our salvation is secured through his sacrificial work for us. As followers, we can rest in the provision of Jesus for us and we must persevere and encourage others to remain faithful to him.
