The preacher continues his lengthy explanation of the sacrifice of Jesus, the true sanctuary and the new covenant inauguerated through the sacrifice of Jesus. He continues by explaining further the covenant connection and the necessity of the sacrifice of Jesus. The preacher concludes with another explanation of the all-sufficient sacrifice of Christ in opposition to the sacrifices of animals. The difference is that the sufficient sacrifice of Christ frees you from condemnation and allows you to draw near to God! This is why the first covenant and first sacrifices were not sufficient to truly save.

Though the author of Hebrews is unknown, the writer offers instruction about Jesus; his person, his work and truth that he is better than angels, Moses, priests and any feature of the old covenant. Jesus is Supreme and Sufficient for believers! Our salvation is secured through his sacrificial work for us. As followers, we can rest in the provision of Jesus for us and we must persevere and encourage others to remain faithful to him.
