As the preacher of Hebrews continues to explain the significance of Jesus as our Great High Priest, he begins an extended discussion of the sanctuary in which Jesus ministers, the self-sacrifice that he makes for sin and the covenant that he now mediates. We must recognize who Jesus is and follow him alone by faith for forgiveness of your sins! Jesus is the high priest we need and that is one of primary points the preacher of Hebrews is attempting to communicate to his audience.

Though the author of Hebrews is unknown, the writer offers instruction about Jesus; his person, his work and truth that he is better than angels, Moses, priests and any feature of the old covenant. Jesus is Supreme and Sufficient for believers! Our salvation is secured through his sacrificial work for us. As followers, we can rest in the provision of Jesus for us and we must persevere and encourage others to remain faithful to him.
