The preacher issues his second warning in his sermon. This warning begins with a challenge to hear the Word of God, in a quote from Psalm 95:7b-11. After this quote, the preacher makes an exhortation to his hearers and offers specific application. As he suggests throughout, we must hear the truth of God, believe it and persevere!

Though the author of Hebrews is unknown, the writer offers instruction about Jesus; his person, his work and truth that he is better than angels, Moses, priests and any feature of the old covenant. Jesus is Supreme and Sufficient for believers! Our salvation is secured through his sacrificial work for us. As followers, we can rest in the provision of Jesus for us and we must persevere and encourage others to remain faithful to him.
