Zechariah records in chapter 3, the account of Joshua the high priest and the exchange of his filthy garments for clean ones.  The Angel of the Lord is delivering this message and offering a message from the LORD to Joshua the high priest and ultimately the people of Israel: Through the sacrifice of Christ, as believers, we enjoy a restored and transformed relationship with God!  We see through this encounter the forgiveness offered by God to men through the sacrifice of Jesus on our behalf.
