In Leviticus 16, we have the instructions for the Day of Atonement; a day still celebrated today as Yom Kippur. This day was dedicated to the atonement of all the sins of the people, the priests and event the place where worship was to occur - all of it was in need of cleansing, a covering, atonement.  The day of atonement relates to believers today because it reminds us of the weight of our sin, the magnitude of Jesus' sacrifice and all of the benefits Jesus now provides us through his work on the cross. Christ has forgiven your sins, removed your guilt and satisfied the wrath of God! This is why we rejoice in and celebrate the work of Christ!

Every other month we celebrate together as a church, the sacrifice of Jesus on our behalf.  His work on the cross and resurrection pays the necessary penalty for our sins and as a church we celebrate this precious gift we enjoy because of Jesus!  Join us as we contemplate our sin and his righteousness, our position through him and the unity we enjoy together as believers in Jesus.
