In 2016, five men came together in late July to meet with pastor dave about the 
prospect of starting a church in the South Bend area. The goal and philosophy of the church would be intentionally focused and based on the 1st-Century Church. The character of the church would be Christ-Centered, God-Exalting, Word-Based and Spirit-Motivated. It would focus intentionally on teaching the Word of God, on biblical fellowship as a family of believers and strive to engage our community practically as we interact in our neighborhoods and places of work each day.
One of our distinctives would be a Question and Answer time following the time of worship together. 
This weekly Q/A has shaped the thinking and engagement of our congregation with the Word of God. Since our inception in 2016, God has graciously allowed us to study through, almost, the entire New Testament. Those sermons can be accessed on our Sermons page. More recent sermons can be accessed on our weekly Sermon Podcast.
On December 11, 2016, Graceway held its charter service and had 36 Charter 
Members, including 10 children. God has continued to grow our small group, which has continued as a small group committed to our original core principles:Christ-Centered, God-Exalting, Word-Based and Spirit-Motivated.
God is continuing his work among us and we are excited to see him clearly direct our church family. We are still growing, by his grace, and eager to see his plans for us in the future.
